USA Today Sports rolled out a new content syndication module, USA Today Sports Pulse, across more than 100 local Gannett properties. It is also available for syndication beyond Gannett, the company said.
Sports Pulse — which will incorporate content from USA Today, Gannett’s 100-plus media brands, Sports On Earth and other sources — is designed to aggregate timely content across all USAT Sports Media Group properties, including breaking news, commentary, video, digital images and social activity.
“The quality of our content will be the key point of differentiation for USA Today Sports Pulse,” Tom Beusse, president of USAT Sports Media Group said in a statement.
At its launch, Sports Pulse is expected to have exposure to more than 20 million unique visitors each month via inbound traffic to USAT Sports Media Group sites, the publisher said.
Meantime, USAT launched its new website, featuring all-new design and navigation. It also launched a 2012 Print Advertising Competition, offering $1 million in advertising space to the agency or marketer that designs the most creative print ad.
