Acutech announces products, sales
 

Acutech released a new entry-level edge punch bender, which the vendor said can be used with multiple sizes and plate gauges. Acutech also released a multi-format punch bender that features optical or edge register punch bending, and can accommodate five punch and bend profiles, the company said. The system stores individual bend bars for specific press bends and bend change is automatic and driven via bar code or manual  switch.

 

The vendor also announced sales of its no-tool offset locks to newspapers in Sacramento, Calif., St. Paul. Minn,; York, Pa.;  Danbury and Bridgeport, Conn.; and Great Falls. Mont.

Acutech sold magnetic locks to the Charlotte (N.C.) Observer and no-tool locks were installed at the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel, St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times, and the Los Angeles Daily News.

Acutech also reworked equipment for publishers the Canton (Ohio) Repository, the Los Angeles Times and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
