Inland notches international deals

Inland Newspaper Machinery Corp. said it sold a number of reconditioned presses to global customers during the fourth quarter of the year.

Among the sales is a 9-unit Goss Community press to PT Aceh Media Grafika in Indonesia; an 8-unit Goss Urbanite to Peru and a Harris V15 series press to Mexico, the vendor said.

“There continues to be strong interest in good used presses, particularly from buyers in Latin America and Southeast Asia,” said Beau Campbell, Inland’s president.

Meantime, Inland’s brokerage division added to its offerings four Goss Urbanite presses, two in Indiana and two in Massachusetts.

Finally, Inland said it and its tax consultant partner, Morrison & Head, have successfully reduced property tax assessments by several hundred thousand dollars at the Tampa (Fla.) Tribune, the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman and the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel.

“We are currently working with several other metro newspapers to attain similar results,” Campbell said.
