showcase
newspapers’ multimedia tricks

This
year’s political conventions gave host-city newspapers a chance to dig into
their multimedia bag of tricks as they worked to cover the major national events
from multiple perspectives.
The Denver Post, (Denver)
Rocky Mountain News and St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press used everything at their
disposal to generate up-to-the-minute news and information.
And with events during the
four-day extravaganzas ranging from landmark acceptance speeches to political
protests, there was no shortage of beats or flow of news.
