UK software company buys Astech

A U.K. based marketing software developer purchased Astech InterMedia.

SmartFocus said it bought Denver-based Astech following a five-year business relationship. SmartFocus said it will add more than 200 Astech users to its client list.

“The acquisition of Astech InterMedia presents SmartFocus with a tremendous opportunity to grow our business in the U.S. market, take a leadership position internationally in a key market segment and continue to build our position within the multichannel marketing technology market,” said Chris Underhill, SmartFocus’ chief executive officer

Astech will continue to operate out of its Denver headquarters and Tom Ratkovich will continue to serve as Astech’s president.

The transaction’s financial terms weren’t disclosed.
