Caxton CTP, South African publisher of The Citizen in Johannesburg, purchased Tera Digital Publishing’s Tark archiving software to support its online management.

Caxton, which also publishes 88 other free and paid titles, already uses Tera’s GN3 editorial and content management app across its titles.

Caxton prints 2 million copies of its papers each week at nine company-owned print plants across South Africa. The publisher uses Tera’s Ted editing app, Fred page layout application and Topic OPI (open prepress interface) and chose Tark based on its configurability, media-independent XML-based standards approach and its integration with existing systems, Tera said.
