Contract
printer F.D. Hoekstra Boom in Emmeloord, the Netherlands, in April went
on-edition with its Goss International Corp. FPS press, becoming the second
company to go into production with the model.
Hans Emmink, technical
director at the printer, told Newspapers & Technology the press went into
production without any major difficulties.
“We knew that Goss could
deliver what we asked for,” he said. “We can’t take a funny concept and print
worthless quality for years. Our customers will forgive some lack of quality,
but after two weeks they expect to get the best output possible. And we achieved
that.”
