The Post
Register in Idaho Falls, Idaho, last month agreed to purchase a 17-unit press
from Goss International Corp. to upgrade its printing and color capabilities.
The 28,000-subscriber
newspaper is buying a Goss Magnum machine, configured as four four-high towers
and a mono unit, said Roger Plothow, editor and publisher.
The 35,000-copy-per-hour
machine will have a 21-inch cutoff, a web width of up to 35 inches and replace a
13-unit Goss Urbanite.
The deal also includes a Goss
N40 folder, integrated digital inking controls, Megtec splicers, U.S. Automation
web-break detectors and a Nela Classic II semi-automatic plate bender.
