Agfa announced recent sales of its Arkitex workflow software to the (Baltimore) Sun, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, the (Norfolk) Virginian-Pilot, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Palm Beach (Fla.) Post and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel in Ft. Lauderdale.

Advanced Publishing Technology rolled out an online contest application, EZ$Contests. The app lets newspapers broaden print-only contests and expand them to their online editions, APT said. The standalone product does not require any other APT products or systems, and APT hosts the app at its servers.

Sound Publishing Inc., which prints more than 66 community and classifieds publications in the Pacific Northwest, went live with classified pagination software from Software Consulting Services LLC.
