Miss. publisher picks EPG for ink control

Emmerich Newspapers Inc. said it will place a KeyColor system from Essex Products Group on its Web Press Corp. Quad-Stack press used to produce the McComb (Miss.) Enterprise Journal.

The ink control system purchased for the Quad-Stacks includes a KeyColor C console with digital touchscreen control, 16 KeyColor smart fountains, and KeyColor AutoSet presetting software.

The presses will be equipped with touchscreen ink key controls while the ink desk will be connected to the fountain via a single six-wire cable, EPG said. The AutoSet app will convert digital data from a computer-to-plate system to preset all ink keys accurately for fast makeready.
