•The New York Times’ College Point, N.Y., facility installed two VCP-M Multi-Variable Vision punch benders to handle plates for its existing and new Goss presses. The units will be inline with The Times’ new Agfa Polaris CTP devices (see Newspapers & Technology, June 2007). Nela upgraded four existing punch benders with speed kits and a new conveyor system to go in-line with the CTP units.

•The (New York) Daily News upgraded its three existing VCP Vision units to handle the high-speed plate output of its three new CTP devices from Krause and Fuji (See Newspapers & Technology, April 2007).

•The Houston Chronicle installed four VCP Vision punch benders with a 48-position up-and-down plate stacker in connection with four Agfa Polaris CTP devices (see Newspapers & Technology, July 2007). The system will handle up to 1,000 plates per hour.

•The Philadelphia Inquirer purchased two Evolution high-speed Vision benders, which will be connected to two CTP devices from Krause/Fuji.
