Honolulu S-B, others
roll out Mactive apps
Atex said the (Honolulu)
Star-Bulletin will roll out Mactive advertising software to anchor its
management and production.
The 55-seat purchase includes
classified ad order entry, retail ad order entry, pre-print/insert order entry,
customer management, contract management, graphics management, Web export,
administration tools, ad layout, PageLink, A/R, AdBaseE and Analytix, Atex said.
Atex purchased Mactive earlier this year.
Meantime, The News-Star in
Monroe, La. is live on Atex’s Mactive advertising for classified order entry.
The News-Star joins other Gannett Louisiana properties The Times in Shreveport,
The Town Talk in Alexandria and The Daily Advertiser in Lafayette on the app.
The four dailies will operate on a shared SQL Server database, making full use
of the multi-company features offered within the software suite, Atex said.
Aggressive rollout
The News-Star project, which
began in February, followed an aggressive rollout schedule and its go-live marks
the culmination of a consolidated implementation for Gannett’s Louisiana
dailies.
The (Boise) Idaho Statesman
also rolled out Atex Mactive advertising software.
A number of additional papers
rolled out Atex Mactive apps including The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer, which went
live on Atex Mactive PGL software to replace legacy page planning and pagination
apps. A parallel project is underway to integrate The Cleveland Sun into The
Plain Dealer’s Atex Mactive environment.
Comprint Military
Publications, The Town Talk of Alexandria, La., Foster’s Daily Democrat in
Dover, N.H., and the Citizen in Laconia, N.H., all launched Mactive AdBaseE,
Atex’s Internet ad entry portal software.
