Web Press sets international sales

Web Press Corp. said it sold press equipment to newspapers in Venezuela, Greece and Ireland.

In South America, Editorial Nuevo Dia C.A. ordered a complete pressline consisting of two Quad-Stack 4-over-4 color units, a UPM perfector and a 4130 folder. Installation was slated for August.

Chaniotika Nea in Chania, Greece, meantime, purchased three two-high UPM units (equipped with spacers for two-web capabilities), two Quad-Stack units and a 4130 folder equipped with an air former and quarterfolder.

Web Press said all of the press’ units would sport integrated roll stands, with additional roll stands and angle bar packages to enable the paper to add a second web through each of the two-high units. The press will also feature UV drying. Installation will take place in November.

Finally, The Midland Tribune in Birr, Ireland, ordered a Quad-Stack unit to expand its existing color capacity. Installation is also planned for November.
