NAC picks DTI circ suite

Newspaper Agency Corp. of Salt Lake City licensed Digital Technology International’s MediaPlus apps for the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret Morning News, including MediaPlus Circulation, MediaPlus List MatchPlus and MediaPlus iServices Subscriber, which allows subscribers to manage their own account information online.

The apps will be installed at NAC’s corporate location in Salt Lake City to help the company further integrate its operations, a process that began last summer when NAC installed DTI’s MediaPlus Business apps, DTI said.

“We are pleased with the results we achieved by implementing MediaPlus Business,” said Kelly Roberts, NAC’s senior vice president of circulation. “Not only were we able to standardize our reporting, we were also able to generate comprehensive reports in less time, giving us better data for making decisions.”

Despite NAC’s satisfaction with DTI’s business solutions the company, which Roberts said requires a lot of customized data, did due diligence when selecting its new circulation apps.

“While we were pleased with the DTI business solutions and the service and implementation support we received, we knew it was in our best interest to consider all the leading vendors,” Roberts said. “Right now we’re focusing all of our available resources on just getting the basics done each day. After reviewing a number of circulation systems, we think that the features that come standard in MediaPlus Circulation will allow us to be more efficient, which will let us spend more time on out-bound activities such as retention efforts and improved customer service.”
