Agfa hands OptiBend over to Glunz & Jensen K&F

Glunz & Jensen K&F Inc. said it will take over service and support of Agfa’s OptiBend plate punch bending system. Agfa transferred all current North American service agreements to G&J K&F.

“Based on the long history of producing and servicing punch benders, we felt our OptiBend customers would be in good hands with Glunz & Jensen K&F,” said Sheila Nysko, Agfa’s business development manager for newspapers, North America. “We wanted to turn the bender support over to a company that would offer our customers experience and timely support.”

G&J K&F said it is stocking spare parts and has programming capabilities at its Midwest facility in Granger, Ind. Formacyclis, the OEM for OptiBend, is also partnering with G&J K&F to support newspapers with OptiBend.

“We’re pleased to expand our capabilities to service the Agfa customer base for punch bending and Formacyclis customers,” said Al Brunner, vice president of G&J K&F.
