Online-only newspaper The
Suburban Times selected Feedblitz to help produce its editions. FeedBlitz is a
service that monitors blogs, RSS feeds and Web URLs and converts feed and blog
updates into e-mail digests for the Washington state paper. FeedBlitz also
manages subscriptions, circulation tracking, testing, and is compatible with all
major blogging platforms and services, the company said.

Times signed up with Monster to launch a combined online and print recruitment
services Web site. Monster has alliances with seven newspaper groups covering
more than 40 publications.

HarperCollins Publishers said
it made an investment in NewsStand Inc. and that Brian Murray, its group
president, will join NewsStand’s board of directors. HarperCollins and NewsStand
teamed up last year as part of HarperCollins’ digital strategy to protect
authors’ works and create a digital library of content.
