Burgess
Industries said it recently installed register control, off-line punch/bend, and
in-line plate management and handling systems at PAGE Co-op members Epoch Press
in Paterson, N.J., Richner Communications in Garden City, N.Y., and The
Intelligencer in Doylestown, Pa., in conjunction with those publishers’
transitions to computer-to-plate.
Other
PAGE Co-op members to recently place orders for Burgess equipment include J.
Frank Publishing in London, Ky., The Hawkeye in Burlington, Iowa, and Buckley
Newspapers in Bay Springs, Miss. Each of these members chose Burgess’ Tri-Point
Register System. The installations will occur before year-end, Burgess said.
Elsewhere, The Sun-Gazette of Williamsport, Pa., purchased an inline plant
management system, Burgess said. The installation represents the eighth time
Ogden Newspapers has partnered with Burgess for computer-to-plate-related
equipment in recent months. Previous Ogden installs include those at the Maui
(Hawaii) News, the Parkersburg (W. Va.) News, the Daily Breeze of Cape Coral,
Fla., the Morning Journal in Lisbon, Ohio, the Journal in Martinsburg, W. Va.,
the Daily Freeman Journal in Webster City, Iowa, and The Intelligencer in
Wheeling, W.Va.
Each of
the Ogden sites tapped Burgess’ Tri-Point Register System.
