Baldwin Technology Co. Inc. said it received a $1.2 million order  from the Kobe Newspaper Co. in Japan for a SD-H spray dampening system. No other details about the order were released.

Perfect Pallets Inc., which operates the online Perfect Pallets Post Press Users Group, upgraded the site in mid-September, adding such features as more robust tracking and private e-mail support. The site, www.perfectpalletspostpress.com, went live two years ago and now has more than 1,100 members, according to Kevin Copeland, Perfect Pallets’ director of business development.

HK Systems Inc. it acquired AGV Products, adding the Charlotte, N.C.-based automated guided vehicle vendor’s products into its mix of automated systems. No financial details were disclosed.

The Gazette in Colorado Springs, Colo., purchased Mirasert inserter control software from Miracom Computer Corp.

The paper will install the software this month to manage its two GMA Inc. SLS-2000 inserters. The software will also be engineered to mesh with The Gazette’s Burt Technologies Inc. planning app.
