Baldwin Technology Co. Inc.
last month said it agreed to acquire rival Oxy-Dry Corp.
No financial or operational
details were released about the transaction, which is expected to close within
30 days, according to Baldwin.
“The acquisition of Oxy-Dry is
an important step in the continuing process of building Baldwin’s presence in
its core market segment of accessories and controls,” said Gerald A. Nathe,
Baldwin’s chairman and chief executive officer, in a statement. “Oxy-Dry is a
well-known and well-respected name in the industry, particularly with its brush
blanket cleaning technology. We are pleased to have Oxy-Dry become a part of
Baldwin Technology.”
Baldwin said privately held
Oxy-Dry posted revenues of about $38 million last year. It has manufacturing
offices in Itasca, Ill., and Egelsbach, Germany.
