Philly papers, Monster strike joint alliance

Philadelphia Media Holdings LLC, the new owner of The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News, teamed up with Monster to deliver online and offline recruitment services to employers and job seekers in the Philadelphia metro region.

It’s the first alliance between Monster and a major-market media company, the firms said.

PMH last month expected to launch a co-branded job search and recruitment Web site that would tap the readership of The Inquirer, the Daily News and philly.com.

“Working together, PMH and Monster.com will offer a powerful combination of recruitment classified advertising certain to appeal to Delaware Valley employers and job seekers alike,” said Brian Tierney, chairman and chief executive officer of PMH.
