-LiveDeal.com, a free local online classifieds site, said it will add AdStar’s functionality - including self-service ad placement - into its Web site. The combined capabilities of the two companies will enable LiveDeal.com classified advertisers to broaden their online classifieds listings to local newspapers, AdStar said.

-Advanced Publishing Technology redesigned its Web site. The site contains news, information and conference schedules. A password-protected part of the site will provide access to customers using APT’s Falcon editorial, advertising, circulation and online apps.

-The Providence (R.I.) Journal and The Press-Enterprise in Riverside, Calif., said they’d roll out AdStar Inc.’s Ad Sales software to oversee their classified ad transactions.

-The Royal Gazette in Bermuda added Morris DigitalWorks’ photo blogging tool, Spotted, to its Web site, www.theroyalgazette.com. Spotted is an interactive photo blogging tool powered by a user-contributed format. Photos can be uploaded online or submitted as e-mail attachments from cell phones or desktop computers.
