Agfa said it signed a contract
with Spain’s El Pais for three high-speed, violet Polaris computer-to-plate
units and N91v digital plates. Each CTP line includes Arkitex NewsDrive and
pre-inking automation software, plate processing and punch bending equipment.
Including the two-year service contract, the deal is valued at $1.5 million.
El Pais cited quality and
reliability in choosing Agfa, the vendor said.
“As we reviewed our
technology and vendor options, Agfa Graphics offered the best answers to our
needs for integrated production solutions,” said Marga Espino, production
director for El Pais.
