Columbus Dispatch offering
online coupons

The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch added online coupon products from boodle to its Web site Dispatch.com. Visitors to the site can access coupons from such brands as Betty Crocker, Chex, Pillsbury and General Mills. The Dispatch is also partnering with Boodle to feature an online coupon organizer and offers from local merchants through boodle’s Local Coupon Program.

The Dispatch joins the 400 newspapers that currently feature boodle grocery coupons on their Web sites.

“Coupons remain an important part of the consumer shopping experience,” said Gerry Barker, Dispatch Digital’s general manager. “The addition of boodle to our Web sites creates new opportunities for both our readers and our advertisers.”

The Dispatch’s Local Coupon Program will enable the paper to distribute coupons from local merchants, while the coupon organizer - boodleizer - will let consumers keep track of the thousands of grocery coupons The Dispatch distributes every year in its Sunday paper.

Other papers to recently deploy online coupons through boodle include the Garden Island of Lihue, Hawaii, the Brown County (Ohio) Press, the Chattanooga (Tenn.) Times Free Press, the Clermont Sun in Batavia, Ohio, the Columbia Basin Herald in Moses Lake, Wash., the Highland Sun in Hillsboro, Ohio, and the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus in Howell, Mich.s
