Orlando daily picks Quipp

The Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel ordered four Packman packaging systems from Quipp Systems Inc.

The device stacks, wraps, prints and straps in one operation. Quipp said it’s sold more than 50 of the systems since it was first introduced in 2003.

Additionally, Quipp said it sold stackers to a number of newspapers, including the Denver Newspaper Agency, the Morning News in Springfield, Ark., the Beaumont (Texas) Enterprise, the Courier & Press in Evansville, Ind., and the Poughkeepsie (N.Y.) Journal. Dow Jones & Co., meantime, purchased a Viper bottomwrapper, as did the Bristol (Va.) Herald-Courier. Finally, publishers purchasing Quipp conveyor systems include Newspaper Agency Corp. in Salt Lake City and The Orange County (Calif.) Register.
