Konica
Minolta Graphic Imaging USA Inc. said it completed its acquisition of American
Litho Inc. Oct. 1, in the process making the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based plate
manufacturer a wholly owned subsidiary of Konica.
Konica
Minolta also said it plans to “quickly” expand the capacity of American
Litho’s Grand Rapids facility, allowing the firm to provide such features as
advanced coating capabilities to a variety of CTP plates.
Meantime,
Konica Minolta named a new board of directors to oversee the unit, including
Steve Schuster, president of Konica Minolta; Shunsuke (Sean) Nishimura, vice
president of Konica Minolta; and Kazuhiko Fukushima, general manager of Konica
Minolta Medical and Graphic Imaging Inc. Nishimura was named president of the
unit.
