Russ Christensen, print quality manager at the Los Angeles Times and president of the Metro Users Group, kicked off the conference praising delegates for their participation. “We continue to grow. Our success is based on having annual participation. It’s the sharing, networking and communicating that makes a successful conference.”

Goss International Corp. Executive Vice President Jochen Meissner said Goss will intensify its efforts to rebuild the industry’s confidence in the press vendor. The next 12 months, he said, will see increased merger activity, a generally better economy and an improving advertising climate.

Next year’s meeting will be held in San Antonio.
