Baldwin Technology Co. Inc. said it received orders for 200 spray dampeners from Japanese newspaper publishers including Asahi and Yomiuri.

The orders bring to more than 700 the number of units - worth more than $7 million - Baldwin sold to Japanese publishers between July and November of last year, the company said.

 

Soderqvist is upgrading tabloid slitters currently installed at Tabloidtryck in NorrtŠlje, Sweden. The company is installing three motorized slitters on the former board on the publisher’s Goss Universal press. The slitters use a so-called scissors technique to ensure precise cutting and trimming. Soderqvist is also installing six SkipSlitter systems at Grafische Bedrijven, a Holland newspaper publisher.

 

Brazilian newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo purchased net-linx America’s nxAdvertising software. The order is for an nxAdvertising system with 130 Java and 250 WebClients seats. The order includes AdCommerce and nxEdge software.
