Ipswitch offers automated features, increased security for file transfer

Ipswitch Inc. announced the latest version of its file transfer protocol software, which features productivity and security upgrades.

WS_FTP Pro 8.0 includes automated HotDrop and Active Edit capabilities designed to save users time by eliminating transfer steps, including establishing FTP server connections and opening applications for easier server-side editing.

Security additions include support for 128-bit SSL running behind a firewall.

Ipswitch said WS_FTP Pro 8.0 also offers easier file navigation with new thumbnail view capabilities for easier identification, management and transfer of images.

WS_FTP Pro is available through Ipswitch’s Web site (www.ipswitch.com) for $39.95 and the upgrade is available to current users for $9.95.
