The
Denver Post completed the redesign of its new Web site.
The
newspaper said the revamp was made to emphasize breaking news, add interactive
features and improve ease of navigation for its customers.
Howard
Saltz, associate editor for new media and strategic development, said
DenverPost.com now includes a number of online interactive features, including
chat, audio and video features, a “bloghouse” with commentary from Post
staffers and a do-it-yourself comics section that boasts a repository of more
than 130 strips.
The
new site also showcases ticket giveaways, polls, up-to-the-minute traffic
reports and stock quotes.
Post
Editor Greg Moore said he is excited about the new site, which he described as
“visually appealing and easier to navigate.”
Other
features on the new site include a repackaged index designed for easier
reference and a sectionalized main area that has been broken into categories
that mirror the content of the daily print product. Each section has separate
headlines to guide the user, and related stories are specifically cited.
