GMA plays in Peoria

LAS VEGAS — The Journal Star in Peoria, Ill., said it would install inserters, bundlers and other associated post-production equipment manufactured by GMA Inc. The newspaper is building a 66,000-square-foot addition to its current headquarters to house the mailroom as well as a new press from MAN Roland Inc. The Journal Star will equip the plant with two GMA SLS-3000 inserters as well as GMA’s FlexiRoll buffering system. The 16:1 inserters, 16-station FlexiRoll and other equipment are expected to be operational in 2004.
