Two Illinois newspapers commissioned single-wide
presses manufactured by Dauphin Graphic Machines Inc. The Galesburg Printing and
Publishing Co., publisher of the Galesburg Register-Mail, went on edition with a
23-unit DGM 430 press with two DGM 1035 folders. The pressline has five 4-high
towers and one 3-high stack. One DGM 1035 folder is equipped with three-high
formers, the first unit of this design to be installed, DGM said. The Belleville
News-Democrat, meanwhile, purchased a DGM 850 press as an add-on to its existing
Goss press.
