Seinet signed a contract with Media 24 of South
Africa to deliver the XTent publishing suite for the organization’s print and
digital publishing needs.
The project will feature XTent Editor, which
works with Adobe InDesign within the editorial environment. The project will
also include XTent Catalog, a content repository for short- and long-term
archiving of digital assets; XTent Flow for digital production workflow
automation; XTent Print Publisher to print to Media 24’s different printing
plants; and XTent Web Publisher to deliver content to the group’s portals.

Dow Jones & Co. renewed its five-year
agreement with Japan’s Nihon Keizai Shimbun Inc. (Nekkei) to share editorial
resources. The two organizations will distribute news and financial content
created by a 120-person newsroom in Tokyo for the next three years.
The agreement also includes the production of the
Nikkei/Dow Jones Japan Report, a news service that’s distributed by Nikkei’s
Quick unit, among other data vendors. In addition to Japanese, Dow Jones
Newswires provides news services in 10 other languages throughout the world.

Danish publisher Bornholms Tilende A/S will
install a web offset press system from Tensor Group Inc.
Bornholms, which publishes the only daily
newspaper on Bornholm Island, will deploy a 21-unit offset press early next
year.
The press will be comprised of five, 1400
four-high towers and an associated mono unit. The publisher also purchased an
H-50 heavy-duty jaw folder, five single-web turnbars with blowers and a
footprint shaftless drive system.
The new press will allow Bornholms to triple its
color capability and double its production capacity.
