Baseview’s CirculationPro now platform independent

Baseview Products made its CirculationPro management application platform independent. The most recent edition of the application, CirculationPro 3.0, can now be run on Macintosh, Windows or Solaris servers.

The previous version, 2.0, could only be used with Macintosh servers. With the updated version, users also can access circulation information through a browser-based client. The new application also features enhanced searching capabilities, enabling users to save their own list of commonly used searches. An expanded history screen, meanwhile, lets users track changes, address changes and other alterations made to subscriber information.

Beyond CirculationPro, Baseview also rolled out two new modules from the company’s Internet Technology Services unit. PDF Edition is an application that gives publishers the ability to display their publications online exactly as they appear in print. The application, offered by Baseview as a hosted package, permits full-color photos, banner headlines and display advertising.

Baseview also unveiled Soft Proofing, a Web-based application that lets advertisers view proofs online through a secure Web site.
