Sterling Packing Systems displayed the NewsFlash
strapper prototype at Nexpo.
According to Carl Hansen, vice president of sales
at Sterling, new features in the product include servo motor technology,
eliminating the need for brakes, clutches and NewsFlash also simplifies the
electrical cabinet for a user-friendly environment.

Other features in the NewsFlash system include:
A plastic one-piece track, which eliminates
hinges, springs and track parts.
Standard touch pad that provides
troubleshooting and machine adjustments information.
CE Approved safety switches and interlocking
features.
Heavy-duty construction with thicker steel.
Variable speed conveyors using v-guided
belts, which eliminates tracking.
One knob for quick adjust backstop assembly.
Runs strap sizes from five to seven
millimeters.
Strap effect button for machine cleaning.
