The Dallas Morning News recently implemented TriActive’s Management Service Provider approach to enhance its IT operations. With TriActive, the newspaper found and integrated full-range approach to systems management that will support rapid implementation, offer affordable operation costs and make the IT staff more efficient in a matter of hours.

Advertising software developer, Informatel, recently completed an installation with Engle Printing & Publishing Co. in Pennsylvania, which publishes 22 weekly newspapers and four specialty publications.

The One-Stop advertising solution features a fully integrated series of software for classified advertising including AdPlus for front-end classified management, AdPlacer for pagination, and Prospector, Informatel’s sales management and marketing system.

Kodak Polychrome Graphics is expanding the capabilities of its Kodak Approval Type 2 proofing media for proofing-enabled platesetters with the full commercialization of spot color Red Donor. The Red Donor enables users to represent an alternate fifth plate color on the proof.

Agfa Corp. entered into a joint agreement with Monotype Systems Inc. whereby Agfa will act as U.S. distributor for the sale of Monotype’s imagesetters.
