Robert M. Hanselman joined Tera US Inc. as national sales manager.

Hanselman has more than 20 years of newspaper industry experience. He has held positions with Composition Systems Inc., Atex, Autologic, ECRM and Optronics, and was a founding member of ImagiTex.


Adobe Systems Inc. announced several executive promotions.

Bruce Chizen, formerly executive vice president of worldwide products and marketing, was named president. He will retain his vice presidential duties and assume responsibility for all sales activities.

Other appointments include Shantanu Narayen, senior vice president of product development, Melissa Dyrdahl, senior vice president of corporate marketing, Bryan Lamkin, senior vice president of product marketing for professional publishing solutions, Kyle Mashima, vice president of strategic development, and Joe Escbach, vice president of Adobe ePaper solutions.


The board of directors for Eastman Kodak Co. elected two corporate vice presidents and a senior vice president.

Currently director of imaging materials manufacturing and vice president, Charles S. Brown was elected senior vice president.

Brown began his Kodak career in 1973 as a process engineer in the synthetic chemicals division.

Accepting vice presidential posts on the board are Aaron C. Cross, Jr., director of global equipment manufacturing, and Bharat C. Shah, cluster business manager, consumer imaging for the United Kingdom and Nordic markets, in Kodak's European, African and Middle Eastern region.


Former Heidelberg executive Ronald F. Kendig Jr. has been named general manager of advanced publishing solutions for Xerox Corp.'s North American graphic arts division.


Press

Global Press Sales appointed Michael J. Heldt its president and chief operating officer.

Heldt is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Global Press Sales and its subsidiaries, Global Singlewidth Sales L.L.C. and Stanford Products L.L.C.

Prior to joining GPS, Heldt served as chief administrative officer of MAN Roland Inc. He has 25 years of experience in the printing press manufacturing industry.


Donn Stephan joins the A-American Press Parts management team as vice president of sales and marketing.

In addition to being responsible for sales and marketing efforts, Stephan oversees the company's Internet system and new product development.


Postpress

Joseph Casile was named manager of the telemarketing division of Rock-Built.

Casile has been with Rock-Built since 1997.


New Media

Ryan McIntyre joined Digital Art Exchange Inc. as manager of business development.

McIntyre is responsible for generating strategic partnerships and new alliances with printing, prepress, graphic arts and e-commerce companies, while providing guidance for the DAX sales team.


MediaBrains.com named Lesli Tauber vice president of quality assurance. Tauber's responsibilities include process improvement initiatives, quality testing and implementing MediaBrains.com's InfoTracker technology products.


Industry

At Tribune Co.'s annual shareholders meeting, held in May, four directors were elected, including new board member Dennis J. FitzSimons, Tribune's executive vice president.

FitzSimons fills the vacancy left by the retirement of James C. Dowdle, who served on the board for 15 years.

Re-elected board members include Diego E. Hernandez, Robert E. La Blanc and Andrew J. KcKenna.

Board members serve three year terms, expiring in 2003.

Tribune also named David D. Hiller, senior vice president of development, to the position of president of Tribune Interactive.

Hilary A. Schneider, Times Mirror vice president and Times Mirror Interactive president and chief executive officer, fills the newly created position of senior vice president and general manager of Tribune Interactive.

Andrew J. Oleszezuk, Tribune Ventures president, was named senior vice president for development of Tribune Co., and Crane H. Kenney, vice president and general counsel, was promoted to senior vice president and general counsel.

Other promotions include the former vice president of human resources, Luis E. Lewin, who is now senior vice president of human resources, and Harry A. Amsden, director of financial reporting and planning, who accepts the responsibilities of assistant controller at Tribune Co.
