The (London) Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun will roll out software from EidosMedia to anchor print and digital production.

News International, which prints the papers, said the deployment of Méthode is “part of a strategic investment in the way we create content and serve it to our customers,” according to Spencer Piggott, NI’s publishing portfolio manager.

“The project, which we’ve called Newsroom 360, aims not only to serve all channels and platforms from a common content base, but also to enable the kind of dynamic, flexible production workflows needed to stay ahead of our customers’ expectations. Having the right technology is a critical factor in the process of enabling newsroom change,” he said in a statement.

As part of the deployment, NI will use Méthode News Planning to plan and coordinate news coverage. NI also uses Méthode to support its U.S. operations The Wall Street Journal and New York Post.

Meantime, French sports daily L’Equipe said it will also use Méthode to handle production of the broadsheet paper and companion weekly magazines.

“Being able to feed all our news-publishing channels from a common content base will make us significantly more flexible, as well as allowing us to serve our readers with even more up-to-date news and information,” said Bruno Jeanjean, L’Equipe’s CIO, in a statement.
