Graph Expo in Chicago is just one week away and News & Tech’s panel theme this year is “2020: The Future Role of Newspapers.” The panel will take place Monday, Oct. 8 at 9 a.m. during the show.

The free, one-hour free session will feature Rodd Winscott, president of Newsweb Corp., Rick Surkamer, president of Surkamer Advisors and Marco Boer, vice president at consultancy IT Strategies Inc. They’ll discuss emerging technologies and their impact on newspaper operations, as well as talk about steps publishers need to take to remain vital in an increasingly competitive landscape.

The session will be held in Room S-102, adjacent to the shuttle-bus drop-off point at McCormick Place South. The session is open to all Graph Expo registrants.
