Harland Simon and Goss International are teaming up to upgrade Goss Universal presses at Sin Chew Daily, a large Chinese-language daily in Malaysia.

The project, slated for completion in 2013, will replace aging and obsolete parts on the presses’ original press control system. It includes work at two of Sin Chew’s sites. Each will be equipped with the latest version of Harland Simon’s Prima MS and will include four Prima 6000 consoles and a soft-proofing screen to streamline production operations.

Four presses at the Kuala Lumpur head office and Johore regional site and their associated 16 consoles will make it the largest Prima install in the world, Harland Simon said.
