Quad/Graphics Inc. said it plans to open two commingling centers as part of a multimillion-dollar investment in mail processing infrastructure to drive postal savings.

One of the facilities will be in a 225,000-square-foot building in New Berlin, Wis., and the second will be at its existing direct-mail production plant in Westampton, N.J.

Commingling improves discounts and savings and reduces postal handling and delivery time.

Quad/Graphics said it will also invest in new web press equipment and other equipment upgrades at its Effingham, Ill., as well as beefing up printing capabilities in Westampton.

Meantime, Quad/Graphics was honored with Company of the Year award in the Publication category at the GAAmericas awards. They also won the Overall Company Growth Award.
